IELTS Speaking – How To Open Like A Rockstar!

  • Think about what you want to say.  You have 1 minute to prepare so don’t waste it. Once you have your topic and ideas, it is important to get a strong start. This video will teach you how to a) stay on point – if you waffle, you lose, b) easily connect ideas and sentences c) use complex grammatical range when you talk- this will give you a great first impression.
  • After part 1, examiners have decided if you are under or over 6. If you are under, your test is pretty much a formality. But, if you are higher, this is your chance –Watch this video to see exactly what to do

Learning new vocab for IELTS Speaking

  • This video is the precursor to all intermediate and advanced vocabulary. The brain gets bored and learning vocab can be time consuming. Invest the next 10 minutes of your day learning how to learn new vocab so you can score higher in IELTS Speaking and talk with confidence. When you use your imagination to learn new vocab, and not rely on memory, you will lock in vocabulary for the long term.
  • Go to Turner English TV to improve your memory by 25-50% right now

Vocabulary range is key to Band 8

  • You need to remember, examiners get bored. When you introduce a new idea into your speaking, you will stand out. And when you stand out and get their attention, you get marks. But to be able to talk about new ideas, you need vocabulary range.

G’day Guys! It’s Neri T here and today I wanted to share a video with you that will sky-rocket your confidence in the IELTS Speaking Part 2.

I have literally used this strategy with students since 2005.

This approach to IELTS Speaking part 2 can pretty much guarantee a Band 7. Sometimes we freak out under exam conditions but if you follow this video, it will get you so many points.

That means, if you have a bad day, or a bad start to Part 1, you will still be able to regain some of those marks. In other words, ‘it ain’t over, ’til it’s over.’

Get into this video and do a 5 minute a day practice, and you will hit the 7.
